Princess Sumaya of Jordan calls for cultural and scientific revolution in the Middle East

HRH Sumaya bint El Hassan of Jordan has called this afternoon in Barcelona for a cultural and scientific revolution in the Middle East to end decades of conservatism. "Religious conservatism has canceled improperly applied the scientific acumen. Political instability has stifled freedom of inquiry. Decades of oppressive laws have thwarted curiosity and thinkers who have imprisoned channel could have great hopes", considered the President of the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan.

Kydland invites the Spanish company to seek a privileged partner in Ukraine

The Nobel Prize in Economics Finn E. Kydland presented this afternoon in Barcelona the second report of International Financial and Economic Observatory of Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF), dedicated to Ukraine. Kydland, corresponding academician for Norwegian of RACEF and honorary president of the Observatory, stressed the "great opportunities for the Spanish company in a market that opens a great bridge between the EU and the former Soviet republics to the east, rich in raw materials".

Princess Sumaya of Jordan enters the RACEF

HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan will enter on 7 June the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF) as Correnpondent Academician for Jordan during a Solemn Session to be held at the headquarters of Fomento del Trabajo Nacional of Barcelona. President of the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan, the new member will read the inaugural address "Respect and Rediscovery: A Shared Heritage of Scientific Engagement".

Presentation of the report on the Ukraine by the Economic-Financial Research Observatory of the RACEF

The Honorary President of the Economic-Financial Research Observatory of the RACEF, Nobel Prize Winner Finn E. Kydland, will present a report on the Ukraine as a new market for economic recuperation. The act will take place at the Barcelona headquarters of the Fomento del Trabajo Nacional (Via Laietana, 32, principal) at 17:00 hrs. 

Carles Gasòliba will chair the CIDOB

Carles Gasòliba, Full Academician of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF), was elected today president of the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB). The Board of CIDOB is composed of the Generalitat (Catalan Government), Barcelona City Council, Barcelona Metropolitan Area, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and Ministry of Defence of Spain.
