The Nobel Prize in Economics Finn E. Kydland presented this afternoon in Barcelona the second report of International Financial and Economic Observatory of Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF), dedicated to Ukraine. Kydland, corresponding academician for Norwegian of RACEF and honorary president of the Observatory, stressed the "great opportunities for the Spanish company in a market that opens a great bridge between the EU and the former Soviet republics to the east, rich in raw materials".

The Nobel has also highlighted the experience that can transmit the Spanish economy, which successfully passed a long period of autarky, like now must do the Ukraine. "Ukraine was a major producer protected and has yet to go through a process very similar to what happened Spain. Remains a major producer that needs modernization and their industries have yet to adapt an open market, and the Spanish company that has a great opportunity to find a privileged partner".

In preparing the report involved researchers Ukrainian and Spanish. A large delegation of them was present at the presentation at the headquarters of the Fomento del Trabajo Nacional.
