HRH Sumaya bint El Hassan of Jordan has called this afternoon in Barcelona for a cultural and scientific revolution in the Middle East to end decades of conservatism. "Religious conservatism has canceled improperly applied the scientific acumen. Political instability has stifled freedom of inquiry. Decades of oppressive laws have thwarted curiosity and thinkers who have imprisoned channel could have great hopes", considered the President of the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan.

In this regard, HRH Sumaya, praised the cultural development of Spain. "The best example for new generations of my country, especially the most prepared", she said. The princess has made these considerations during her admission as Corresponding Academician for Jordan at Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF).
