The President of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF), Jaime Gil Aluja, stressed the role of Islam as a substantial part and parcel of European identity in his speech at the International Seminar "Thinking Europe", which was held Bucharest (Romania). [+]

The Mexican researcher Federico González Santoyo, a professor at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo-Morelia of Mexico and President of the Iberoamerican Academy of Doctors , will join the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF) as Corresponding Academician to Mexico in a solemn session that will take place on Tuesday, October 16, at 19.30, in the Auditorium of Fomento del Trabajo Nacional in Barcelona (Via Laietana, 32, principal). González Santoyo will read the inaugural speech "The financial decisions in uncertainty in the business: using Black-Scholes as a strategy". Will respond on behalf of the RACEF, his vice president, Lorenzo Gascón.

The International Seminar "Thinking Europe", organized by the Royal Academy of Economics and Financial Sciences of Spain (RACEF) with other European institutions, will focus this year on human rights, the European-born Western values and integration challenges. This renowned forum, which reached its eleventh edition, will be held betwen 4 and 6 October under the title "The Rights of Man and the European world values" in Bucharest (Romania).
The Nobel economist Joseph Stiglitz has invited the European Central Bank (ECB) to adopt measures similar to those that have launched the US Federal Reserve to provide liquidity to the European economy and combat the recession in the European Union. "The commitment of Ben Bernanke (Federal Reserve Chairman) to buy mortgage debt and points the way forward for Europe, because the crisis has a long journey, in Europe and in the US", said Stiglitz. The Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (RACEF) will open its 2012-2013 academic year with a Solemn Session to be held on September 14, 2012, at 18.30 in CaixaForum Madrid (Paseo del Prado, 36). The event will host the reception as US Corresponding Academician Joseph E. Stiglitz, Nobel Prize in Economics. The new member will read the inaugural address "The price of inequality", which will outline his latest book. Will respond on behalf of the RACEF, its President, Jaime Gil Aluja.
