The Racef and the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska of Bosnia sign an agreement for cooperation.

The President of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (Racef), His Excellency Dr. Jaime Gil Aluja, and the President of the Republic of Srpska of Bosnia Herzegovina and at the same time President of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of this republic of Serbian majority, His Excellency Dr. Rajko Kuzmanovic, this morning in Banja Luka signed an agreement for cooperation between the two institutions.

The Nobel Eric Maskin joins the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain

Eric Maskin has joined this evening the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain (RACEF) as Corresponding Academician for The United States a session presided by Ernest Benach, President of the Parliament of Catalonia. The new Academician has read the speech "Mechanism Desing: how to implement social goals", where he has introduced the applications of his theory of design of mechanisms which cost the Nobel prize of Economy in 2007.

Eric Maskin, Nobel Economy Prize winner for 2007, becomes a member of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras

The renowned North American economist, His Excellency Dr. Eric Maskin Nobel Prize winner for Economy for 2007, will on October 5th next become Foreign Member for the United States of America of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (Racef) at a Solemn Act presided over by the President of the Academy Jaime Gil Aluja, who at the same time will be the sponsor for the new Member. 

José Barea is awarded the International Prize for economy of the Cristóbal Gabarrón Foundation

His Excellency Dr. José Barea Tejeiro, full member of the Racef, today in Valladolid received the International Award for Economy of the Cristóbal Gabarrón Foundation 2009 for his contribution and research centered on analysis of the performance of the public sector. The prize winner expressed his enormous satisfaction for the award and did not want to lose the opportunity for making a not very optimistic analysis of the situation of the Spanish economy.

Emilio Ybarra awarded the Civil Values Prize of the Círculo Ecuestre

His Excellency Mr. Emilio Ybara Churruca, Full Member of the Racef and ex-President of the BBVA Banking Group and of the BBVA Foundation was awarded today by the President of the Círculo Ecuestre, Mr. Borja García-Nieto, the prize for Civic Values for 2009 that is given annually by the prestigious Barcelona club, “for his civic work and service to Spanish civil society”.
