Corresponding Academician Fernando Gómez Martín passes away in Bilbao
His Excellency Mr. Fernando Gómez Martín, Corresponding Member for The Basque Country of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (RACEF) passed away yesterday in Bilbao at the age of 76, victim of a lengthy illness. Gómez Martín was the Honorary Consul for Bolivia in Bilbao, auditor, tax consultant, commercial professor and expert in business management. Author of numerous works, conferences and doctrinal articles on the subject of bankruptcy, he was the administrator in more than 450 procedures over the last 30 years.
The IBEX listed companies follow the social recommendations of the RACEF
The Ibex 35 listed companies have heeded the principle recommendations for improving the practices of Business Social Responsibility (RSE) that were proposed by the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (RACEF) in 2007, according to the study “Creation of Value and Business Social Responsibility (RSE) in the Ibex 35 listed companies" which was drawn up and presented today at the Madrid Stock Exchange by Academician Aldo Olcese.
The act was presided over by the Minister of the Presidency Ramón Jáuregui, and the Vice-President of the RACEF, Lorenzo Gascón, in representation of the President, Jaime Gil Aluja.
The RACEF analyze the change of economic situation in the southern Mediterranean
Professor of Thebes Academy for Science, Higher Institute of Technology of Management and Information and advisor of the Egyptian transitional government Nashaat el Khameesy insured during the VI International Act of the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain (RACEF) that political changes that are occurring in the Maghreb will open a new context of economic development that will enable the Southern Mediterranean achieve the level of income and social achievements of the countries of the north shore. For El Khameesy, "what is happening in Egypt and other countries in the region is not only a political change but of unprecedented economic change, allowing us to make the leap towards development and welfare".
The RACEF advises the Calabria region in employment and development
The President of the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences of Spain (RACEF), Jaime Gil Aluja, has been involved throughout this week on working sessions organized by the Azienda Lavoro Calabria and University of Reggio-Calabria on the development economic growth and combating unemployment in this region of Italy and, by extension, the Mediterranean area. Gil Aluja transmitted the experiences and has chosen RACEF creationof a network of Mediterranean cities and regions to fight more effectively against the crisis.
