The RACEF participates in a new edition of the World Policy Conference

The Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF) still have a role in the World Policy conferece (WPC) which concluded this afternoon in Cannes. Its President, Jaime Gil Aluja, and the Corresponding Academicians Tierry de Montbrial and Ángel Gurría have actively participated in the fifth edition of this reference meeting of statesmen and economists from around the world.

Jaime Gil Aluja was part of the Spanish delegation with the Vice President of the European Commission Joaquín Almunia and Member of State Council, former Minister and former Vice President of World Bank Ana Palacio.

Thierry de Montbrial, Corresponding to France and founder of the WPC was responsible for opening the meeting with Alassane Ouattara, President of Ivory Coast; Bartholomew I, Patriarch of Constantinople; Albert II of Monaco, and Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council. Meanwhile, Ángel Gurría, Corresponding to Mexico and Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), participated in the first plenary session, dedicated to the creation of a new model of global economic governance.
