The RACEF enters in the Institute of Spain

The Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF) has today entered in the Institute of Spain, as approved by theSpanish  Council of Ministers in its session of this noon. The RACEF thus becomes the first Spanish Royal Academy based in Barcelona that enters the institution that since its creation in 1937 groups the Royal Academies of national scope and that today are ten.
“The Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras is the first National Academy that does not have its headquarters in Madrid. It was created in 1940 and it gathers up to 48 full academicians to which the corresponding ones, Spaniards and foreigners are added. Among them, nine Nobel prizes in Economics", highlighted in the Council of Ministers Íñigo Méndez de Vigo, Spanish Minister of Education, Culture and Sports and Government spokesman.
"It's a pride for us that the Council of Ministers has recognized our vocation to work for all Spain from Catalonia", said the president of the RACEF, Jaime Gil Aluja, after hearing the announcement.
