The president of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF), Jaime Gil Aluja this afternoon became the Spanish economist with the most awards after receiving from the University Odfiar Yurdu of Baku (Azberjaian) his twenty fourth “Honoris Causa” Doctorate. Gil Aluja is also the only Spanish researcher to be nominated for the Nobel Prize for Economy.

Holder of the Gran Cross of Alfonso X the Wise and member of ten scientific academies around the world, Gil Aluja has dedicated his scientific activity to developing the new theory of uncertainty and to working in the field of fuzzy logic. His extended activities can be translated into more than 200 scientific works published in several reviews and some 30 books that are pioneers in the treatment of uncertainty within the sphere of economic management.
