Leonor González Menorca, Minister of Economic Development and Innovation of the Government of La Rioja, will enter at the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF) as Corresponding Academician for La Rioja (North Spain) during a solemn session to be held in Barcelona on Thursday, March 10, 2015. The new member will read the inaugural address "Companies for people: to respect human rights". Will respond on behalf of the RACEF the Academician Arturo Rodríguez Castellanos.
PhD in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Zaragoza,she was chosen in July 2015 Minister of Economic Development and Innovation of the Government of La Rioja. She has been Deputy Director of Company Relations of the School of Engineering at the University of Zaragoza based in Logroño (1990-1992), General Secretary of the University of La Rioja (1996-1998), Vice Chancellor for Quality of the University of La Rioja (1998-2000), coordinator of the Strategic Plan of the University of La Rioja and Director of the Department of Economics and Business at the University of La Rioja (2004-2012), among other responsibilities. She is currently Director of Experts on coordinated from the Foundation of the University of La Rioja and member of evaluation committees of various scientific journals on topics of business management, as well as member of the European Association of Business Management Quality and the Scientific Association Economics and Business Management.
