José Daniel Barquero has called this afternoon by a strong union and fiscal policy of the European Union (EU) to fight effectively against the economic and financial crisis facing the continent. Barquero has made this reflection during his admission as Full Academician of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF), which was held this afternoon in Barcelona.

"Today, the European Union is not a community, but a society in which economic interests prevail, a company very close to the commercial company -Barquero has reflected-. Only a united Europe can prevent our social democracy becomes a masked democracy".

The new Academician has criticized tax and legal contradictions that exist in different countries, states and union territories. "Tax aid that offer some regional governments not only distort free competition, but, in addition, can give rise to loss jobs in other regions", has said.
