The researcher Ana María Gil Lafuente will enter as Full Academician of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras of Spain (RACEF) during a Solemn Session to be held on 24 January at 19.30 h. in the Auditorium of Fomento del Trabajo Nacional in Barcelona. The new member will read the speech "Repeated errors in the origin of the crisis and new foundations for sustainable social welfare". We will respond on behalf of the RACEF the Full Academician Alfredo Rocafort.

PhD in Economics from the University of Barcelona, where she is a Professor, addressed the reports of the RACEF's Economic Research Observatory since its creation in 2010. She has taught courses, seminars and conferences in Spanish universities (Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Universitat de Girona, University of León, University of Vigo, University of La Coruña, Universitat de les Illes Balears, Universitat de Valencia, etc.) and in foreign universities (Belarus State University, Université de La Réunion...).

The new member has published over 140 research papers, including in international journals such as "Fuzzy Economic Review", "Modelling", "Measurement and Control", "Journal of Financial Decision Making", "Fuzzy Systems and AI Magazine "," Information Sciences "," International Journal of Uncertainty "," Knowledge Based Systems and Fuzzyness "," Journal of Global Optimization ", etc.. Note the publication of nine books on the theory and application of fuzzy logic, among them "Fuzzy Logic in Financial Analysis."
