The King grants the title of Marquis to Academician Sánchez Asiaín.

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I, yesterday granted the title of Marquis to Academician José Angel Sánchez Asiaín for his relevant contribution within the economic and financial spheres of Spain.

Academician since 1994, The Marquis of Asiaín is President of the COTEC Foundation for Technological Innovation and the Foundation for Help against Drug Addiction. He was President of the Banco Bilbao Viscaya until 1990 and President of the Prado Museum Trust.
