Giscard d'Estaing calls for "a single voice" for the European Union

The ex-President of France Valéry Giscard d’Estaing Corresponding Member of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (RACEF), yesterday in Madrid stated that the European Union should be heard by “a single voice”. “Only in this way will it be able to return to carrying out a leading role in the world”.

The ex-President supported measures being taken in support of Greece promoted by France and Germany. “The decision of the Franco-German axis taken in Brussels to support Greece is correct and will assist Europe to advance in a costly recuperation”, pointed out Giscard d’Estaing, President of France between 1974 and 1981, and President of the Convention for the Future of Europe, visited Spain to present his novel “The Princess and the President”.
