Fainé receives the Creu de Sant Jordi {Cross of Saint George}, the maximum award of the Catalan Government.

Isidro Fainé, Full Member of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (RACEF), was awarded, the maximum award given by the Catalan Government, with the Creu de Sant Jordi, for his “services to Catalonia in defence of its identity”. The Academy Member will receive the award on the 21st of April at a solemn ceremony.

Fainé, Academician of the RACEF since 1992, is President of la Caixa d’Estalvis i Pensions de Barcelona (the Barcelona Pensions and Savings Bank) and the “la Caixa” Foundation.
